Well, with the mid-terms coming in November, the voters on both sides are getting restless and preparing for the upcoming battle for votes and the “AMERICAN WAY - LEFT OR RIGHT” - however you see it; for in this Country (not like many others in our world) YOU have the right and opportunity to standby what you believe in and remain ALIVE!

So with that being said, like we handled the 2016 Elections, “YOU” can say what you believe in and it will be placed in  September’s, October’s & November’s “Keep Your Fork...’64’s Newsletters. In keeping with “CIVILITY” and allowing everyone to have their say, each article will be TITLED this way for all. Once again “NO” Classmates “NAME” will be posted with the article.

[This is a great piece, it will leave you really thinking - you will learn from Mr. Carlin, (in some areas he gets the credit for the following script), but this was not written by him, although many say he did.]

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. 

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. 
 
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. 

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less. 

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete... 

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side. 

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. 

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

On the first day, God created the dog and said, "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. For this, I will give you a life span of twenty years."

The dog said, "That's a long time to be barking. How about only ten years and I'll give you back the other ten?"

And God saw that it was good.

On the second day, God created the monkey and said,  "Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I'll give you a twenty-year life span."

The monkey said, "Monkey tricks for twenty years?  That's a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the dog did?"

And God, again saw that it was good.

On the third day, God created the cow and said, "You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer's family.  For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years." The cow said, "That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years.  How about twenty and I'll give back the other forty?"

And God agreed that it was good.

On the fourth day, God created humans and said, "Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I'll give you twenty years." But the human said, "Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay? "

So that is why for our first twenty years, we eat, sleep, play, and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years, we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years, we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years, we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.

[Very interesting read!]

My #walkaway journey began on 9/11. I was a vehement Leftist at the time, totally indoctrinated through college and my own naive arrogance. After 9/11, I wanted answers and started seeking truth. I started listening to Dennis Prager on the radio, and even though I disagreed with almost everything he said and often yelled back at the radio, I kept listening. I even called in and argued with him. Years passed. I got married, had children, and starting losing my naivety and ignorance. It was gradual and took about 10 years, but Dennis Prager's rational, kind, and common sense wisdom broke through the brainwash. I am now a Precinct Leader and GOP electoral delegate in my state, and I am home schooling our four children so they don't have to undergo the same indoctrination I did. I am happier, more grateful, more fulfilled, and more generous than I ever was when I bought into the Leftist lies. 

I left the Left because I believe values and behavior matter far more than race, gender, and class. Because I have far more in common with Thomas Sowell than Nancy Pelosi, no matter what color our skin or what's between our legs. 

I left the Left because I live in the freest, most diverse, most blessed nation in the history of humanity, and I refuse to allow ignorant ingrates to crap all over it. 

I left the Left because I wanted to fight REAL human evils and not made up hysterias. 

I left the left because I believe intellectual diversity is the only true diversity, and that to silence ideas you disagree with is fascist. 

I left the Left because to encourage people to think they are victims is to condemn them to a life of unhappiness and misery. 

I left the Left because men and masculinity are AMAZING, beautiful, and necessary to a good society. They are not predators, and I am not a victim. 

I left the Left because I studied history, and learned that capitalism is the ONLY economy that has ever created wealth and lifted millions out of poverty. 

I left the Left because I stopped asking "what FEELS good?" and started asking "what DOES good?" 

I'm so excited about this movement. Almost all the major institutions in America are owned by the Left: Hollywood, academia, and the media. But, the last election showed me that there ARE those who can see through the bullshit, who don't care if they are called names and hated, and who understand that the fight to save our country - is WORTH IT!

During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present, (except those in uniform), are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, "Stand and Face It".  Senator Obama replied:

"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides." "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression..."    "The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."

Obama continued: "The National Anthem should be 'swapped' for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song “I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing”. This comes from 2 math teachers with a combined total of 70 yrs. experience. It has an indisputable mathematical logic.  It also made me Laugh Out Loud.  This is a strictly... a mathematical viewpoint... and it goes like this:  “What Makes 100%?”  What does it mean to give MORE  than 100%?

Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%.  How about achieving 103%?  What makes up 100% in life? 

Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these questions: 

If  A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z are represented as:  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26. 

Then:   H-A-R-D-W-O-R-K   
8+1+18+4+23+15+18+11 =  98%  

And:  K-N-O-W-L-E-D-G-E  

11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5 = 96%   

But:  A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E

• I used to think I was just a regular guy, but . . .I was born white, which now, whether I like it or not, makes me a racist;

• I am a fiscal and moral conservative, which by today's standards, makes me a fascist;

• I am heterosexual, which according to gay folks, now makes me a homophobic; 

• I am non-union, which makes me a traitor to the working class and an ally of big business;

• I am a Christian, which now labels me as an infidel; 

• I believe in the 2nd Amendment, which now makes me a member of the vast gun lobby;

• I am older than 70, which makes me a useless old man; 

• I think and I reason, therefore I doubt much that the main stream media tells me, which must make me a reactionary;

• I am proud of my heritage and our inclusive American culture, which makes me a xenophobe;

• I value my safety and that of my family and I appreciate the police and the legal system, which makes me a right-wing extremist;

• I believe in hard work, fair play, & fair compensation according to each individual's merits, which today makes me an anti-socialist;

• I believe in the defense and protection of the homeland for and by all citizens, which now makes me a militant;

• Recently, a woman called me and my friends a “basket of deplorables”;

• Please help me come to terms with the new me...because I'm just not sure who I am anymore!

• I would like to thank all my friends for sticking with me through these abrupt, new found changes in my life and my thinking I just can't imagine or understand what's happened to me so quickly.

I love this story.  Lay down whatever is bothering you, breathe in the fresh air and LISTEN to this story.

Time is like a river.  You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again.  Enjoy every moment of life.

As a bagpiper, I play many gigs.  Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery in the Nova Scotia back country.  As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost and, being a typical man, I didn't stop for directions. I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight.  There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch. I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late.

I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn't know what else to do, so I started to play. The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. I played like I've never played before, for this homeless man.

And as I played "Amazing Grace", the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together.  When I finished, I packed up my bagpipes and started for my car.  Though my head was hung low, my heart was full.  As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, “I never seen anything like that before, and I've been putting in septic tanks for twenty years.”

Apparently, I'm still lost… it's a man thing.

My daughter starts middle school tomorrow. We've decorated her locker, bought new uniforms, even surprised her with a new backpack. But tonight just before bed, we did another pre-middle school task that is far more important than the others. I gave her a tube of toothpaste and asked her to squirt it out onto a plate. When she finished, I calmly asked her to put all the toothpaste back in the tube. She began exclaiming things like "But I can't!" and "It won't be like it was before!" I quietly waited for her to finish and then said the following:

"You will remember this plate of toothpaste for the rest of your life. Your words have the power of life or death. As you go into middle school, you are about to see just how much weight your words carry. You are going to have the opportunity to use your words to hurt, demean, slander and wound others. You are also going to have the opportunity to use your words to heal, encourage, inspire and love others. You will occasionally make the wrong choice; I can think of three times this week I have used my own words carelessly and caused harm. Just like this toothpaste, once the words leave your mouth, you can't take them back. Use your words carefully, Breonna. When others are misusing their words, guard your words. Make the choice every morning that life-giving words will come out of your mouth. Decide tonight that you are going to be a life-giver in middle school. Be known for your gentleness and compassion. Use your life to give life to a world that so desperately needs it. You will never, ever regret choosing kindness."

“Reciprocity is the Method to Trump’s Madness”   #17

“Critics of Donald Trump claim there is no rhyme or reason to his foreign policy. But if there is a consistency, it might be called reciprocity.

Trump tries to force other countries to treat the U.S. as it treats them. In "don't tread on me" style, he also warns enemies that any aggressive act will be replied to in kind.

The underlying principle of Trump commercial reciprocity it that the United States is no longer powerful or wealthy enough to alone underwrite the security of the West. It can no longer assume sole enforcement of the rules and protocols of the postwar global order.

This year there have been none of the usual Iranian provocations -- frequent during the Obama administration -- of harassing American ships in the Persian Gulf. Apparently, the Iranians now realize that anything they do to an American ship will be replied to with overwhelming force.

Ditto North Korea. After lots of threats from Kim Jong Un about using his new ballistic missiles against the United States, Trump warned that he would use America's far greater arsenal to eliminate North Korea's arsenal for good.

Trump is said to be undermining NATO by questioning its usefulness some 69 years after its founding. Yet unlike 1948, Germany is no longer down. The United States is always in. And Russia is hardly out, but instead cutting energy deals with the Europeans.

More importantly, most NATO countries have failed to keep their promises to spend 2 percent of their GDP on defense.

Yet the vast majority of the 29 alliance members are far closer than the U.S. to the dangers of Middle East terrorism and supposed Russian bullying.

Why does Germany by design run up a $65 billion annual trade surplus with the United States?  Why does such a wealthy country spend only 1.2 percent of its GDP on defense?  And if Germany has entered into energy agreements with a supposedly dangerous Vladimir Putin, why does it still need to have its security subsidized by the American military?

Trump approaches NAFTA in the same reductionist way. The 24-year-old treaty was supposed to stabilize, if not equalize, all trade, immigration and commerce between the three supposed North American allies.

It never quite happened that way. Unequal tariffs remained. Both Canada and Mexico have substantial trade surpluses with the U.S. In Mexico's case, it enjoys a $71 billion surplus, the largest of U.S. trading partners with the exception of China.

Canada never honored its NATO security commitment. It spends only 1 percent of its GDP on defense, rightly assuming that the U.S. will continue to underwrite its security.

During the lifetime of NAFTA, Mexico has encouraged millions of its citizens to enter the U.S. illegally. Mexico's selfish immigration policy is designed to avoid internal reform, to earn some $30 billion in annual expatriate remittances, and to influence U.S. politics.

Yet after more than two decades of NAFTA, Mexico is more unstable than ever. Cartels run entire states. Murders are at a record high. Entire towns in southern Mexico have been denuded of their young males, who crossed the U.S. border illegally.

The U.S. runs a huge trade deficit with China. The red ink is predicated on Chinese dumping, patent and copyright infringement, and outright cheating. Beijing illegally occupies neutral islands in the South China Sea, militarizes them and bullies it neighbors.

All of the above has become the "normal" globalized world.

But in 2016, red-state America rebelled at the asymmetry. The other half of the country demonized the red-staters as protectionists, nativists, isolationists, populists and nationalists.”

• What If They Left? What if 20 Million Illegal Aliens Vacated America? 

That’s a good question. . . it deserves an answer.  Over 80 percent of Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped.  But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America?  The answers may surprise you!  In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico it would leave an extra 10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupt hospitals and overrun prisons.  It would leave highways cleaner, safer and less congested.  Everyone could understand one another as English became the dominant language again.

(1) Isn’t it weird that in America, our flag and our culture offend so many people, but our benefits don’t?
(2) How can the federal government ask U.S. citizens to pay back student loans, when illegal aliens are receiving a free education?
(3) Only in America are legal citizens labeled “racists” and “Nazis,” but illegal aliens are called “Dreamers.”
(4) Liberals say, “If confiscating all guns saves just one life, it’s worth it.” Well, then, if deporting all illegals saves just one life, wouldn’t that be worth it?
(5) I can’t quite figure out how you can proudly wave the flag of another country, but consider it punishment to be sent back there.
(6) The Constitution: It doesn’t need to be rewritten, it needs to be reread.
(7) William F. Buckley said: “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other points of view, and are then shocked and offended when they discover there are other points of view.”
(8) Joseph Sobran said: “‘Need’ now means wanting someone else’s money. ‘Greed’ means wanting to keep your own’. ‘Compassion’ is when a politician arranges the transfer.”

Well done, well done!  A lot of Classmates are coming on strong with Family and Friend’s articles discussing matters from the Left and the Right of our political parties and the stance that many are taking in the mid-term elections.  Very interesting, and a lot of people, had a lot to say.  I read every article and learned I didn’t know as much as I thought I did.  Going on a third review prior to the Mid-Term Elections in November...  just keeping an open mind. 

Remember, Voting in this Country is a right that in many Countries around the World doesn’t even exist!   So, with that being said... OBSERVE YOUR RIGHTS AND GET OUT AND VOTE...   FOR YOUR COUNTRY AND THE PERSON YOU WANT TO REPRESENT YOU.
