FOR THE K.Y.F.’64” “Newsletter!”

Is anyone willing to take this on?  To be the administrator of a new FaceBook page?  After 15 years of posting this newsletter onto Steve Hanleigh’s website, I am ready to retire at least one more of the tasks Steve has volunteered me for over the last 38 years!  Steve and I are both on the way to retirement… and I’m only 1 year behind him in age…. So I any of you are willing, FaceBook seems to be the best option to keep you all connected!  Please let Bob Graham know if you are willing and able at DDLVR55@gmail.com.

Thanks, Bonita

ED DUMKE - HERE, YOU ARE FIRST UP FOR DECEMBER 2019

In a lighted garage on one of San Francisco's busiest streets, a young man in baggy trousers and messy brown hair pulled down his pants. He had been hiding two pairs of stolen jeans with the tags still on them. He handed them to another man waiting nearby, took some money, pulled up his pants and headed back into another store on Market Street, home to the city's high-end designers and big-chain retail shops. The incident wasn't a one-off. What is going on in that Beautiful City By The Bay?

EDWARD DUMKE... Thank You, for the update on the “City By The Bay.” I’m sure many of “OUR CLASSMATES”  have no idea, especially those that don’t live in the California Bay  Area, Any Longer and want to stay aware of the situation.

BOB GRAHAM, you are next up; and what or who sent in the “Bundle Up Your Pup” or other Pals that make up a part of your Families?” Check out what you might want or need for your, Four Legged Family Members. EDWARD DUMKE Strikes Again - Shopping With The Mrs.

After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Pick & Pay.
Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out.  Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - loves to browse & leaves me with endless time to fulfill.  Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter,
from our local Pick & Pay...

Dear Mrs Lloyd:

Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this type of behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband Mrs Lloyd, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras:
1.  June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.
2.  July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.
3.  July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.
4.  August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.
5.  September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.
6.  September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.
7.  October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'
8.  Took a box of condoms to the checkout clerk and asked where is the fitting room?  And last, but not least:
9.  October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile; then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.'  One of the clerks passed out.

Enjoy Life - It has an expiration date.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAGGIE HORWITZ TUBIA, YOU are up - (Economics/makes sense to me, what say you?)

Hello all, I found the article below extremely interesting...I though I was up to date on this stuff until I read the info below...Maybe it will shine a brighter light on what the Pres is doing and why...Also I abhor the fact he is being criticized for using Tariffs as opposed to Troops to solve disputes and threats on our economy, allies and the safety of our own borders and Nation....Please take a few moment to read the info below...

Subject: IMF (International Monetary Fund) and Trump. This is not only excellent, it is an eye opener!

The  IMF is warning that “global economies” will contract by $455 billion next year due to the ongoing trade conflict between the U.S., China, the EU and to a lesser extent, Japan.  President Trump will cost the “ Global Economy” $455 billion (that’s almost half a trillion, folks!)…. because that money will be transferring back to the America First economy. That’s what happens as MAGAnomics reverses the IMF trade (wealth distribution) model.

China and the EU have devalued their currency in an effort to block the impacts from President Trump and the ‘America First’ trade policy.  Because those currencies are pegged against the dollar, the resulting effect is a rising dollar value.  In essence, the globalist IMF is now blaming President Trump for having a strong economy that forces international competition to devalue their currency.
In the bigger picture is WHY President Trump is the most transformative economic President in the last 75 years.   The post-WWII Marshall Plan was set up to  allowEurope and Asia to place tariffs on exported American industrial products.  Those tariffs were used by the EU and Japan to rebuild their infrastructure after a devastating war.  However, there was never a built in mechanism to  end  the tariffs…. until President Trump came along and said: “It’s over!”.

After about 20 years (+/-), say 1970 to be fair, the EU and Japan received enough money to rebuild.  But instead of ending the one-way payment system, Asia and the EU sought to keep going and build their economies larger than the US.  Additionally, the U.S. was carrying the cost of protecting the EU (via NATO) and Japan with our military.   The EU and Japan didn’t need to spend a dime on defense because the U.S. essentially took over that role.   But that military role, just like the tariffs, never ended.  Again, until Trump.

The U.S. economy was the host for around 50 years of parasitic wealth exfiltration, or as most would say “distribution”. The  term “exfiltration” better highlights that American citizens paid higher prices for stuff, and paid higher taxes within the overall economic scheme, than was needed.  President Trump is the first and only president who said: “Enough!”, and prior politicians who didn’t stop the process were “stupid” etc. etc.  Obviously, he is 100% correct.
For the past 30 years the U.S. was a sucker to keep letting the process remain in place while we lost our manufacturing base to overseas incentives.  The investment process from Wall Street (removal of Glass-Steagall) only made the process much more severe and faster.  Wall Street was now investing in companies whose best bet (higher profit return) was to pour money overseas.  This process created the “Rust Belt”, and damned near destroyed the aggregate manufacturing industry.
Unfortunately, putting ‘America First’ is now also against the interests of the multinationals on Wall Street; so President Trump has to fight adverse economic opponents on multiple fronts…. and their purchased mercenary army we know as DC politicians. No-one, EVER, could take on all these interests.  Think about it…  The EU, Asia, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, China, Russia, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Iran, U.S. Congress, Democrats, U.S. Senate, Wall Street, the Big Club, Lobbyists, Hollywood, Corporate Media (foreign and domestic), and the ankle-biters in Never Trump…. all of these financial interests are aligned against Main Street USA and against President Trump.  Name one individual who could take them on simultaneously and still be winning, in a big way.
They say Trump is one man.  They say they have him outnumbered.  Yet somehow, as unreal as it seems, he’s the one who appears to have them surrounded.

SHARON PEROS, Thank YOU for Waiting - You Are Up! AND “WE (the Aragon Class of 1964) is  - BREATHING AND PRODUCING “OUR”
MONTHLY NEWSLETTER...WITH OUR ARAGON CLASSMATES ASSISTANCE! - - -Bob, Bonita, Steve AND “ALL the other CLASSMATES!” REACH OUT AND KEEP US GOING STRONG...We are a GREAT GROUP AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES, NOT YET; WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS. TOGETHER WE WILL CONTINUE TO  REMAIN STRONG---TOGETHER! Bob

Hi Bob,
Bonita's communications have indicated that the KYF '64 monthly newsletters will probably die a natural death due to lack of participation.  I believe that the demands of life have kept many of us far busier than we anticipated before retirement.  At least in my situation that's what happened.  I wanted to contribute more to your fine publication that I always eagerly anticipated, but continual (sometimes bizarre) computer problems and more than one disconnect from receiving the KYF newsletters also hampered me from doing that.
Before we begin to drift into the next phase of our lives, I want to express my sincere appreciation to you for your diligence, as well as your genuine caring for your flock.  You've been a faithful servant is the monumental task of keeping our classmates connected for so many years.
Now my "bucket list" is very, very short.  (I still want to read at least one of Craig's mystery stories.)  My husband will be 86 years young in January and always has run circles around me.  He still works out, despite a fall from a ladder that fractured his back last year. Yet maintaining the house and gardens has become more of a chore than a joy. So I anticipate that Doc and I will probably sell our house and join our daughter and son-in-law in the Sacramento area by the end of next year (Lord willing that Chris gets the promotion from "County Mounty" to a position with the State of California in the new year).  Like you, we hope to enjoy what remains of our life with family.
In closing, as I dry a tear from my eye, I would like to add one more thought about our future.  I admire how you've expressed yourself as a spiritual man, a loving family man, and a dear friend to many.  I count it a privilege to have known you.  I hope to see you in heaven among the throng of true believers in Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior.  I'll look for you at the supper table when we get to go home.
Hugs to you and your dear ones,
SHARON FREITAS PEROS      P.S. The same from ALEX too!

SHARON, ALEX AND ALL OTHER CLASSMATES...”STAND-BY, “WE - TOGETHER,” ARE OFF LIFE SUPPORTS!”  TOGETHER WE WILL SUCCEED AND MAKE OUR BONDS EVEN CLOSER. THERE IS NO QUIT IN THIS CLASS; WE ARE DRIVING ON  HAND & HAND, WITH PRIDE, HEART AND THE CHARACTER OF A WINNING GROUP. WE ARE ARAGON’S BEST EVER! HOOAH, HUGS & LOVE, Bob

PEGGY GRAHAM YOU ARE CLEARED FOR TAKE-OFF
I Got This From An Old Friend in Bozeman, Montana. The Author is also in Bozeman (My Hometown)
During the last few years immigration has been a significant issue.  I would like to share positive results from America's immigration system.  In High school I earned a job, after school, setting up audio/visual equipment in designated rooms throughout the school.  Then early the next morning I would move the equipment back to the storage room.  This was typically 4 days a week from the end of Sept. until the end of the next May.  I was 16 years old and inquisitive as why I was setting up these night school rooms with our equipment.  One night I went to school and visited the rooms.  All were filled with adults from different countries and ethnic backgrounds.  With further investigation I learned they were attending night school to become American citizens.  They learned the English language, the Constitution, and American history.  Upon graduation, again being inquisitive, I attended and was overwhelmed.  Individually, they had to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in English and turn in an essay about the Constitution or American history.  The graduation ceremony was astounding and I will never forget it.  They all hugged, cried, and thanked their teachers.  They were proud!  They cheered, we are AMERICANS now.  Not Asian-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Russian-Americans, but "AMERICANS".  What went wrong?  Now it is come in illegally, go to a sanctuary city, get money, healthcare, a drivers license (as long as you vote Democrat), commit a felony (don't worry, they'll deport you, but we'll take you back and you can do it again).  I went from very proud to very sad.  Our Veterans aren't treated as well as the illegals now.

BOB BURJMAN now up!

Greetings from Clarkston, Michigan.  We are located about 40 miles straight North from downtown Detroit out in the country on a 75 acre all-sports lake.  In the Winter the ice on our lake will freeze 12-14 inches thick.

My Wife, Debby, (can you believe I married a Cheer Leader) and I have two kids and four grand kids, ranging from 4 years to "Twelve-teen", who all live in Michigan.  We also care for Deb's 93 year old Mother and my 99 year old Father.

We transferred to Michigan with General Motors from Placentia, California in 1989.  I retired from 37 years with General Motors on Halloween Day 2008 from my dream job of Manager, GM Global Engineering.  Since retiring, I have been tutoring Algebra and Geometry at a high school in inner city Flint, Michigan.  "Mr. B., you want me to bring a pencil to school EVERY day??"  In the depths of the housing crisis I purchase two homes to rehab and flip.  In 2010 I had a heart attack and a quad bi-pass.  This is my 33rd year of prison counseling.  I have been fortunate to travel all over the country to spend my weekends in county jails, state prisons and federal penitentiaries counseling inmates - a true life changing experience.  From being in the automobile industry, I am the unofficial mechanic for all the widow ladies in our church - they pay me in Brownies.  This month I toured Israel and Istanbul, Turkey for 12 days and actually witnessed a rocket attack just outside Jerusalem.  In April 2020 I will be in Honduras to build a small house.

In our Aragon days I had two goals in the back of my mind.  1.)  Drive race cars.  For 14 years I raced late model stock cars.  2.)  A career in button-down corporate management in automotive heavy industry.  There are still some button down dress shirts in my closet.  Hindsight is always very bright, but how lucky we were to grow up on the mid-peninsula in the 1960's - close to Camelot.

… Bob [Graham] - a proposal:  Could our Aragon web site be converted to a Private Face Book page that would be semi-self sustaining??

The boat and Hot Rod are tucked away for the Winter and the snow blower is pointed down the driveway.  Warm regards to my Aragon classmates from the Motor City.

MEMORIES FROM OUR ARAGON PAST - A TRIP BACK” -  PART #1
Aragon’s roots first began to grow in 1960 with the building of the school. The school became stronger with “US” Arriving In January 1961 as the first true Freshman Class; and continued to grow in Numbers, Spirit, and Tradition during the the past Graduating Classes Following Our Class of 1964.
We grew in a very demanding and ever changing world. So, let’s take a “Quantum Leap back to that very special school year of September 1963 to June 1964 and highlight some of the events that year. September started with more of a Psychological Feeling...that feeling of being a “SENIOR” and all of the rest of the events seemed so insignificant, except for that far off day of Wednesday, June 10, 1964 at 8:00 P.M. and all 466 of us would be High School Graduates; and then for sure no one could tell us anything; but before we leap too fast, what was happening all around us: Things you probably always wanted to say hummm about.
•Hormones were moaning •the beach, at Santa Cruz (Thank You - Kit)  •muscle cars were in •Red Mountain Wine (50 cents a half gallon) •English Leather & Old Spice was used by the Quart •Mr. Kenneth Allen’s office was getting plenty of use •Driver’s Ed in 1952 Chevrolets •Multi hooked bras •Senior Bow Day •Library to Study...yea right •Ave. day in the life of a Senior - Conrad Hamako  •Exchange Students - Enrico Morelli (Italy) Sue Holmes (to Africa) •Parking (school & other) •Clubs •Athletics (7-3 over Hillsdale, 3-5 Season) •Drama - Harvey, Stage Door, Aristocrats, school newspaper, Madrigals (Rocky) band, CHEERLEADERS, POM POM GIRLS (I know who should be in caps!) •Student Court, NHS •Grid Classic - Queen (Lisa Rasnick), Princess (Barbara Mirch) Princess (Harriet Smith) •Candy Cane Twist, Ides of March Fun Night •Senior Ball - A night to remember •Fashions - stretch pants, 2 bottom suites, thin lapels, ties, pegged jeans, head bands, white t-shirts, loafers, pendleton shirts, grease (hair), saddle shoes, backwards sweaters - sweaters •Cruzzin El Camino •Hi-Y Nights •Cutting School •Going to San Francisco •T-stone at the base of the Flag Pole •Jello in the Small Swimming Pool •Ms. Medding’s English Class - and the symbolism of “Alice In Wonderland” •Going Steady & multiple dates in one night •Cardinal Puff, Thumper & Paddile •Parent’s Signatures!*&$#?

PART #2 - of the above, will once again go back to OUR time at Aragon and bring out other things that were happening at Aragon, San Mateo, California & in the U.S.A. and different places around the world and what OUR futures could  be like, once we left the confines of Aragon or California or even the United States; what would our futures hold for us? In the January 2020 Newsletter I will go into that arena...WITH YOUR INPUT.  Thank You, Your - Classmate, Bob
